Authoring - Actuating the conditions

Actuating the conditions is the process to assign values to variables. This enables the server to evaluate smartrule conditions and to select the required conditional content or chunks of content. This process is only triggered when content is shown in the browser, printed, or exported. There are several means to actuate conditions. In most cases you will need to combine a few of them to get the required result.

We elaborate this in some examples in the 'Encyclopedia: Encarta' example project.
