HelpServer's workflow management concept is task based. People perform a task on folders and topics and indicate manually whether the task is completed, rejected, or skipped. This triggers a transition of one or more other tasks to be performed, usually by other people.
This flow of tasks is defined by the administrator and assigned to any kind of folder, usually a project folder or a library or a book. The administrator also assigns the performers to each task. Then he starts the workflow, and the performers of the first task can commence. When these people have finished their work, the performers of the next task can begin. When all tasks are performed, the project can be released and the workflow stops.
